Excellent job, Paulette! Your hard work has definitely paid off, and you should be very proud! Thank you again for letting me be a part of the debut episode since I fell in LOVE with the story and Celeste. I hope this isn’t all we’ll hear of her past and future?
Keep up the great work, can’t wait to hear next month’s story!
Thank you, Viv! I’m glad you like it. Your contribution went a long way towards making the episode what it is!
There’s a rich universe here, Paulette. I hope it doesn’t languish.
Thanks for letting me participate in your debut story. It was a lot of fun watching my kids’ faces as I recorded the groaning.
Well, you’ll both be happy to know that I do have an outline for a book based on Celeste’s story. It will take her from childhood to a point right around the time of this story. However, since that time period covers quite a few things only alluded to here (King Alphonse’s rise to power, the corruption of the Fire Guilds, the Bloody Solstice , the Great Purge, just to name a few) I have quite a bit of world building to do before I’m ready to sit down and write that one.
Trust me, you guys will be among the first to know it when I do!
[...] for a parsec award for best writing related podcast. I was a voice in a short podcast piece “Divine Fire“, and I’ve been hanging on cam more while I do work and edit all the audio I’m [...]
Perfect. good casting. good pacing. good story
As a short story, I could see many glimmers of a bigger world, but I was slightly disappointed with how quickly Celeste’s was ready to prostitute herself out for a warm bed and a meal rather than help someone in need. Perhaps I missed something. As for the execution of the story, I was highly impressed. I think this story would have worked out better as part of a longer piece for now my appetite is whetted. Keep up the great work. Moving on to the next story.
